In the run up to A celebration of Cuban music at The Jazz Cafe featuring Diáspora 12-piece + Fiesta Latina on 30th October, we're running an artist focus on the players joining us for the night. Olly is one of the founding members of Diáspora having played tenor and soprano saxophones, alto saxophone and flute with the band since 2009. Originally from London, Olly studied jazz at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and shortly afterwards met Rory in Manchester where he was teaching German and French. Since relocating to London, Olly has continued to excel in improvisational styles and contributed some soulful sax solos for Diaspora's upcoming album. In his spare time, Olly enjoys travelling, in particular ski trips to the Alps and Canada.
